A Big Boy’s Collection and Life
The nearly 56-square meters space marks a milestone for a young man building his dreams. This place is not only meant to house his daily life but also to hold his aspirations. During the initial planning phase, constrained by the layout of the newly-built home and a budget that avoided major partition modifications, the client expressed a desire to maximize the functionality and atmosphere of the space without extensive demolition work within the existing framework.
Rugged Concrete Texture and Wood Grain
The design focuses on the display and storage functionality of the living room's TV wall. Beyond the cabinetry, the wall subtly extends outward to create additional thickness, allowing the recessed cabinets to maintain a certain depth while visually reducing the sense of heaviness. Cleverly, between the living room and dining area, two vertical arcs are carved into the wall, defining the boundaries between the entryway and the living room within the limited space.
